Asterisk Server Hosting ?

Hi,

Can any one has a idea what are Asterisk servers? Is it like our usual Managed Dedicated server, or its something different from the usual features of a Managed Dedicated server ?

Asterisk is a open source application used for Voice communication over the IP (server). It can be installed only on a Dedicated server and after installing Asterisk on the server, the server becomes would function as a VOIP server (Voice over input process) which can be used for communicating with different people around the globe. I have some Questions regarding your VOIP servers.

1) Will you install Asterisk on the Dedicated server, if so is there any additional charge for the same ?

2) Can I use a host my websites also on the VOIP server ?

Yes, we will install the application called as “Asterisk” on the Dedicated server, so that the server can function like a VOIP server. And there are no additional charges for this installation.

Websites cannot be hosted on VOIP servers. As VOIP servers are specially setup for calling purpose, so a website cannot be hosted on it.

cPanel cannot be provided along with VOIP servers, as cPanel is not compatible with the application called as Asterisk which is installed on the server.
