Default Uk cPanel hosting accounts package

is the hosting for 50 postings enough for a forum?

i mean to start with, or is that too low?

You can get forum hosting software for free. phpbb.com is probably the best free one.
The basic server hosting packages on here will be enough for a small forum (but it depends on how much they post). I have a forum with 200 regular visitors every day and we use about 6gigs of bandwidth a month.

Well Piet, we do not provide vBulletin or any other paid software license to our forum contest winners. The prizes depending on the no. of posts are free domain, free existing plan upgrade and free linux shared Hosting plan.

That's a matter of opinion Some of the lesser known BBs are slowly closing security holes that phpbb closed months ago.
The vulnerabilities are less noticible because there are fewer hackers and script kiddies going after the smaller audience.

Forum software phpbb3 is out soon (hopefully before xmas) and I think that will move the game on quite a lot. The beta is very impressive indeed.

Yea, And Yes I Respect Everyones Opinions, But In My Opinion The Best Free Forum System Is MyBB

phpBB Is Good, But I Don't Like The Features, For Example Admin Panel And The Moderating Features!

MyBB Is A Mix Of vBulletin & Invision Power Board..

Such as? (just curious)
All a moderator needs to do it edit, delete and move posts.

As I said though, v3 is out soon and is simply awesome for built in features. You have to remember that phpbb2 is about 4 years old now and a lot of the new ones like SMF and MyBB are a lot newer than that and so had the advantage of being able to write in new features from the get go.
