Default cPanel Hosting or Windows Hosting ?

Hi All,

After looking at Webhosting UK forums, I'm planning to order a web hosting package to start with. However I'm not sure which one shall I go for? It says cPanel and Windows hosting. Can anyone help me to get the one that would help me to run my site with 100% uptime.

Thank you

cPanel hosting is nothing but Linux Shared hosting plan with cPanel control panel. If you specifically require ASP, ASP.NET Framework, Ajax extensions, ODBC, MS SQL, MS ACCESS etc then you will need to opt for a Windows hosting plan otherwise you can go for the cPanel hosting plan. We provide 99.95% uptime guarantee with both cPanel and Windows hosting plans.

Feel free to post here if you have any further questions.

Perhaps you should post more information about the type of website you are looking to host to get a more precise recommendation.

Well, choosing a web hosting package usually depends on your requirements. It depends on the disk space and bandwidth you require and also the programming language which is used to develop your website. If you have used any of the Windows programming languages like ASP.NET and ASP for developing your website then you should surely choose a Windows web hosting package. Otherwise, you can go for a Linux web hosting package. It also depends on the applications you wish to have on the server. It is always better to consult a person who is experienced in this field and I would recommend you to do the same. Best of Luck !!

Thanking all,

I see my site is under construction now. Let us see how it goes. I'll ask a Web Developer to guide me to get a suitable plan.

I'll surely be signing up with Webhosting UK only!

Things are good here and support level also seems to be good.
