There is more wind nearer the coast but yes, we can never be totally reliant on one form of energy. Luckily we are also building new Nuclear plants..They are fairly green

HI.. Well its 6 months on.. fuel prices are hitting the roof..

I noticed a serious server company elsewhere is running servers totally off photovoltaic cells, with storage batteries of course.. maybe its time for Web hosting to invest in real silicon ..on the roof..

I wonder when we'll see 'dedicated zero carbon servers' in the Web hosting account options list?

Come on now Admins, maybe just switching the office lights off on sunny days will help as well (I jest?), and get those extra pullovers out in the winter..

and did anyone calculate the total power needed for all pc's and servers in the world.. I think its a billion kilowatts or some number like that.. its basically B. Gates's fault..

I was quite contented with my LED display calculator, before the web was invented.... (for the young ones, thats pre-mobile phone, when Sinclair ''invented'' mini-calculators they used light emitting diode displays).

This all is nothing to do wuith serious stuff, just LOL
