Default Nameserver / Resller question

Hi,
Quick question about private nameservers...
Do they have to relate to my domain or can I call them anything I want?

e.g. If my domain is hkymre.co.uk do my nameservers have to be hkymre or can I call them hkymrehosting?

cheers

Mark

Hi,

No, your nameservers don't have to be the same as your domain name. You can set your nameservers up as

ns1.hkymrehosting.co.uk
ns2.hkymrehosting.co.uk

whereas your domain can be hkymre.co.uk
