Smile Choosing better Host

Hi Web Hosting UK!

I'm letting the forum know, that as a Novice, I have given myself until December to decide:

* If I will actually make my own website.
** If so, which hosting company I will be choosing.

To venture towards this decision, I have three guides (plus myself, which means I can change my mind at any time) in the form of three Webhosting Forums.

I will be quite straight and say that there is no business-plan in mind, just the intention to make a well informed beginners decision that has the chance to expand if it ever gets that far. If this may seem strange to the land of several email aliases, I can see no point in doing it any other way.

If nothing else, I feel sure I will learn a lot!!

Many thanks.

We have many members on our forum who had absolutely no knowledge of managing a Web Site or designing their owned website.

You can take a look at some threads in our forum to see how people have improved their knowledge. We have many other members on our forum who are as old as you and they keep on learning new things everyday.

I can understand how difficult it is to learn new technology in 40's but impossible is nothing..IMPOSSIBLE IS I M possible

Hi Elfed - nice to see another Welshman on the forum. Things are fairly relaxed here and I'm about the least friendly member so if you have any questions feel free to ask. If you're brave enough to dive into Linux then writing a Web site should be no problem for you.

Do you have any experience at all of scripting or programming?

Hi,

I think that you are in good hands here. Have been with webhosting UK a few months now and I am even thinking to get a second VPS for selling hosting packages. I have used a few hosts, and had nothing but hassle.

Their support is second to none and if I need support for my VPS anytime, I open a ticket through the ticket system and they are handled straight away.

Also, this company has been around for quite a while (their Google page rank is 8 now, which takes a while to build up), whereas others arise and dissappear because they oversell their space and are only in it to earn a quick buck.

None. Linux is much more DeGeekified of late. I have a slight idea from BBCode, but I gather that html is the one to learn: Another thing to consider between now and December.
