Default Difference between cPanel Shared and WHM Reseller Hosting.

I am getting a bit confused by all the different website hosting plans

What is the major difference in the web hosting plans and who should use which? cPanel Plesk Shared Hosting, WHM Reseller Hosting, Plesk Windows Hosting, cpanel linux Hosting.

Which one has had all the down time recently?

Windows, Linux is just a matter of preference really. There are differences but mainly boils down to choice. Some prefer windows, some linux (I prefer linux)
Shared is for hosting a web site and you share an ip address with many other.
Reseller is for hosting many sites, or selling plans a bit like webhosting do.

I believe VPS has had the most downtime. This type of account is similar to reseller as in it can host many different sites. The difference is that rather than get a portion of the hard drive, you get a petition (hard drive broken up into seperate blocks) of the drive, so you have your own operating system, apache server, and have root access.

So I don't need the reseller or VPS for just 3 sites then. Especially as the shared hosting seems to have the best uptime.

Is there any problem/benefit with getting listed on Google with any of the different hosting?

I had a site as a sub domain and Google didn't want to know - thats why I brought some more hosting this week (see other post). Google is where my other sites get the most hits from.

no problem at all with google.

WHM Reseller hosting or vps hosting maybe a cheaper option for you ??? but i like your idea of 3 sites on different servers Cassie.
