Default Cheap WHM Reseller Hosting Plan

Apologies now if this has been asked in the past,

Im just curious about the WHM reseller plan, when it says you can have unlimited domains, do these need to be purchased through you, or is it the same as the shared hosting plan where domains can be bought at places like 123-reg, and then the nameservers configured to point at your server? I just like to keep all my domains managed in one place thats all.

Cheers

Steven

Im also very curious about the procedures involved to possibly transfer my account to a reseller. Currently I am on the 800mb shared hosting plan, hosting several sites off this. Im getting to a stage where the reseller account is looking very attractive (from a small business perspective I can see the advantages). So essentially I'd like to know if its possible to transfer this account to a reseller and whether an arrangement could be made about the time left (I only renewed in December)

My other question involves the 'customers' Cpanel. Is it as definitive as the one I get on the shared hosting, can they for example set up their own Email accounts? I read through a few of the FAQs on this, and it wasn't clear. Im assuming also the resellers master Cpanel has features to control each 'customer' accounts webspace, domain limits etc.

Thanks for the help guys

It wont be difficult for you to upgrade to a WHM cpanel reseller plan. All we need to do is change your package template in our WHM and you will have access to reseller WHM after that. You will have option to allow or disallow features too your customers as per your plans and policies.

We will provide you with 2 private nameservers so you will need to point nameservers of domains of your customers to those private nameservers. We forward existing balance of your shared hosting account to the reseller account.

You can contact our support team on livechat or through our helpdesk if you face any problem during upgrade or after upgrade.

about the private nameservers, can they be any domain name (that I own) or does it have to be the main account?, as Im thinking of buying a new domain for the web hosting.

You can use the main account domain name or any other domain name.

And finally...

ftp access. At present when I set up an ftp account for a domain the username for the ftp account is something@mymaindomain.co.uk

what I would like to know is when I upgrade to reseller, what the standard for ftp accounts is. Will they be able to create their own for their domains (ie something@theirdomain.co.uk)?

Sorry to keep pestering you guys, but I just like to get things clear in my head.

Yes. Your customers will be able to make FTP accounts from their cPanel control panel.
