Hi, I've been trying to install an image gallery on my site for my sister. But when I try to install it, it tells me that 'PHP GD module was not detected.'

I've tried searching around the forums for some answers, but I can't seem to find any.

And I'm a complete newb when it comes to this type of stuff, so would anybody be able to tell me how about I go around getting PHP GD detected so I can install the gallery.

Are you on Shared Hosting, Reseller, VPS, Dedicated server etc etc so i can determine what the problem is.

I believe it's a Linux VPS, Dan.

We will need to recompile php on your vps to include GD Library. please open a ticket for our VPS team from http://support.webhosting.uk.com and our system admins will recompile php on your vps.

If you can provide me with URL for the website then I can find details of your vps and get someone to recompile php on your VPS.

password listed in our billing system was not working for your VPS so I have requested one of our VPS team members to recompile php with GD Library. this will be done within next 15 minutes.

seems like someone else is connected to your vps from your end as our easyapache process was killed. Are you sure that no one else is working from your end ?

GD Library has now been compiled with php on your vps.

Please check and let us know if you get any other error.

I don't know if this is related to the GD being compiled on the server, but I can't use ftp...the error I'm getting is...

'No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.'

Try restarting your PROFTPD service or contact support on LiveChat if that doesnt work
