Default email piping to php

Anyone piping emails to a php script?

Just wondering what you do with the emails at the php end. Just looking at various ways piping is used and why.
thx

Email piping to scripts is done using a pipe ( | ) and the script path.

Example :-

support@company.com: |/home/username/public_html/scriptname.php

I suppose you could parse the email using PHP to strip data from the headers or the body e.g. you could write your own spam catcher that used regex to check for particular string patterns in the email. I'd be interested in any real world uses though.
