Zend Framework Beta 0.9.0 released

This is the first Beta Release of Zend Framework. This marks a new milestone for the Framework project, because with the status of Beta, we are establishing the feature set for Zend Framework 1.0, and we are adopting a commitment to backward-compatibility and interface stability

Up until now I have been avoiding using Frameworks, primarily so I could learn PHP more fully without relying on other peoples code. Now that I've got a good grounding I am leaning towards using one, and if I do use one I'll go for Zend's. It sounds like it is at a stable enough place to start using it now.

That’s a good news for php developer also Zend Framework team is planning their next milestone “ Zend Framework Beta 1.0.0 ” to release in mid-April which would have more stable API.

That's good to know. If it's only about a month away I think I'll wait for Beta 1 before I start using it.

We've been using Cakephp here for three major projects and I'd thoroughly recommend it - plus it has areally active and helpful community.

Just an update. I've been using Zend Framework v0.9.1 for a week or so now and I am very impressed. I found a very nice tutorial at " <b>akrabat.com/zend-framework-tutorial/</b>" and that got me up and runing in no time.
