A new search engine alltimesearch.com claims itself a fastest searchengine and a tool to save energy..... lol
On it's homepage they stated " 143786 Watt hours saved. " I m not sure what they mean, is it just a marketing strategy or i m missing something.

The idea of that one is that the screen is black so your monitor doesn't have to use extra power to make the pixels white so it saves trees or something

but if this is true then alltimesearch.com is totally opposite of blackle.com it's " PURE WHITE " and must be eating more watt's of energy.

There have been several attempts made earlier on the same theme and they didn’t survive for too long with the likes of Google, Yahoo and MSN.

I just got a blog post at googleblog.blogspot regarding this new energy saving revolution but actually using black background increases energy consumption
ref : techlogg.com/content/view/360/31/ better we should take care to turn off our computer/monitor when not using it, lowering the brightness on our monitor will help us to save power these are most efficient ways to save power.
