Default Google to compete Skype

Google is in discussions with telephone management company " GrandCentral " for it's acquisition, this can be considered as an attempt to compete Skype, Gizmo, Softphone and other instant messaging platforms.

Isn't GOOGLE going to be the GODFATHER of the net I guess , it's going to the whole net's companies in the most common and profitable fields and domains , I fear and I like to see GOOGLE launching in the near future softwares services to beat off MS totally and they create their own OS , so that we'll start saying I have a GOOGLE-CAFE instead of CYBER-CAFE and we'll say are you GOOGLECETED istead of CONNECTED and GOOGLECTION in place of CONNECTION and GOOGLECHASE for PURCHASE

I have a full dictionary of words like that , so nobody steal my COPYRIGHTED words If you want PM ME

Google have been competing with VoIP companies for a while now, since they launched GTalk at least, but like a lot of their projects once the initial enthusiasm has gone they don't know what to do. This company has an interesting idea but it's not one that is going to massively change Google's lack of success in VoIP.

As far as a Google OS goes I can't see that happening...unless they merge with Apple.

Very Interesting I love the MAC's OSes , I've tried TigerOSX on some X86 and it was awsome despite of its BUGS , however you feel that's smoother than MSes' , and the experiment of PANTHER was totally amazing and wonderful on PPC machines , if Google really merges with such a beautiful OS , it will be the #1 world wide without a doubt...

But is it really going to happen?

Thankfully no.

There's no way that Google would consider an OS that couldn't be installed on any hardware and there's no way that Apple would consider releasing an OS that could be installed anywhere and so would have to directly compete with Windows.

Personally I'm not a fan of OS X or Apple but I think that you are more likely to see collaborative stuff between them and Google e.g. the iPhone will probably include some built-in Google stuff.

it was just a wish from my unreal imagination so that I finish with:

But believe me I don't like the APPLE's policy either since I'm a GNU's FAN but I admit that their products are the best when speaking about VIDEO and AUDIO editing , I have a friend who own a small studio based on a MAC station and he's agreed with me about this issue...

At least they prove them selves in some fields and they deserve what they call them selves , like ARTISTS or something , for the HARDWARES , it seems that APPLE can make a move to the X86 architectures since they have already Tiger and their Kernel is a UNIX based , and they still base all their Graphical APIs on X11 , so I think that they can enter the market from its biggest portals if they like but it means they'll lose their manufacturing powers after years of domination in the whole world , this means too ,increasing of returns to INTEL and MICROSOFT's BILL, the nightmare of JOBS ...

Really it's so complicated but GOOGLE should find a SPONSOR or at least to use a different and special Kernel that suits their needs and it can be published for a SUMMER OF CODE ! than they can start making cash from it by developping applications for it.

THE END

Google already have an in-house custom version of Linux don't they? They just don't seem interested in releasing a full OS to the public and it's hard to see what benefit they would gain from doing so.

I've always though that the superiority of Apple hardware was a bit of a myth as well They always used to make outrageous speed claims when they were PPC based but they dropped those pretty sharply when they switched to Intel and realised that they could be benchmarked in a like-for-like basis.

I know a couple of graphic designers who are confirmed Mac fanboys and who are always bleating on about how pretty OS X is and how pretty their Macs are and that seems to be about the only real reason they prefer them.

Have they run the Mac vs PC ads in France? The UK ones are very funny but complete bullshit.

I really didn't know about the GOOGLE's , it's new to me... Thanks for informing me

The benefit is that will be used for the other SEOs companies because it must be very optimized and dedicated to such a service , may be , it's just a guess..

The ADS are very funny realy , of I'm a MAC and I'm a PC , I like most those of first home made video
and when the PC was hiding from spywares

Finally Google has acquired " GrandCentral " and you can see Google logo at it's homepage. No official disclosure on price from Google yet but according to techcrunch.com the deal may be over $50 million.
This acquisition will bring Google into the telephony market and hope would success as youtube

Grand Central isn't a telephony company is it? I thought they provided a kind of transferrable number service although I could be wrong?

Yeah, GrandCentral is not a telephony company but they provide an innovative web-based voice communications platform for managing all your phones and phone numbers through a single interface.
Google will be moving this service to it's network to enhance the collaborative exchange of information....

When Google earlier launched google checkout it was rumor that G-checkout will directly compete with Paypal which does not appear true, similarly for Google it is very difficult to compete with skype.. I take a deep breath.
