Skype isn't live chat software.

We used to use LivePerson in work which was ok but now we have an in-house solution. Apparently we will be selling that as a service at some point but I've gto no idea when or how much it would cost.

in skype you can chat live in it with its software.here is its website where you can downlooad it:
skype.co.uk.
its free if its chat between 2 computers on internet and calls between computer but it will cost when you will make a call to any landline

You cannot put a code on your website and make your visitors click on it to have a livechat conversation using Skype.
