I'm with you. I can't quite see how it will work in terms of PR. I'll probably use mine for decorating in or slobbing about in the flat.

You will roll-back your words when you see quality of our T-shirt. Those which you buy from shops can never match quality of our T-shirts.
Back on topic. We need designs for backside of our T-shirt

Make one which has the back saying Volunteer for those who Volunteer around the forums.
Maybe just plain text on the back such as "Loyal Customer" etc etc

I prefer polo shirts. And like I said, I won't get one. :-}

LOL you are so on my wavelength. But it is their Customer Service which is the bad, bad bit which needs something doing very soon.
I too think it is a very stupid idea and has no benefit for anyone at all. It may get people to your forum for a short while but it will not get you any more customers. I have, in my time, seen many freebies but this one really doesn't work - whatever the slogan. IF it fitted (which is doubtful as I am a UK size 24) I wouldn't want to advertise a company like this. A mouse mat may get used and therefore seen but teeshirt?
I too would use it as a cleaning cloth (whatever the quality) that is if I got one - being a true black sheep to this company apparently.

Hi Cassie,
It's nice to see you around the forums again, I trust you have been well.
Without going into too many details, we know the campaign will work how we intend it to. Arrogance? No, merely recent experience.
If you use it for a cleaning cloth, please be sure to clean quality items with it

I think I will sit on the fence with this one.
I have read the whole thread and can appreciate both sides really.
I guess you can't knock a company for trying and see nothing wrong with that ethic. As for getting the design and slogan right I think 'good luck with that' There are many well paid professionals who do this for a living and rarely get it right!
As for whether i would wear it: If I liked it, and it fitted, and it suited the occasion, then yes, i probably would. I wear Nike shirts and give them free advertising so why not!

Which says precisely nothing. We can only guess at your marketing objectives and if your objective is to 'spend surplus marketing budget' then I'm sure you will be successful. And of course some objectives are more measurable than others (for example increased brand awareness vs increased revenue)
But please, share your experience. I'm sure many of us here are involved in marketing (I used to be deliver a marketing course when I was a college lecturer) and would love to know.

Look, I hate to sound negative but I really think you'd need a different name. I always thought Fasthosts was pretty good (as a name, not as an ISP of course)
