Hexosphere - try changing your DNS servers in your router / machine to the openDNS servers

On and off I have spent a day trying to do this, unfortunately the dongle driver overrides the DNS Server settings and always changes it to Obtain Automatically so I can't use another DNS server!

I am still unable to directly connect to my site using the domain name.

I have logged a support request with 02 Mobile and I am awaiting their response.

Blackdog responded to a post of mine and out of curiosity I tried to view the two sites he has in his profile. Again I can't get to them unless I go via the megaproxy site.

It does seem clear to me that for some reason O2 Mobile has an issue with more than one site hosted here as other people can get to these sites.

However I have no problem in getting to this site, or the site on Dan's Visit Home Page Link or the sites in the profiles MrTWS and Christine.

Does this suggest an issue with a particular hosting type, I am on a Win Hyper V VPS.

The website specified in my homepage is housed in an entirely different datacenter on an entirely different network.

Can you access Boldice - Avoiding spam has never been easier! This is housed on the same network as your VPS.

I can now get to my site and the other ones that I mentioned that I could not and I can also get to the one you have just suggested.

I still need an entry in Hosts to be able to get to my mail server running on the same server.

I did a few web searches and found a lot of historic complaints about O2 mobile's DNS, these complaints seem to have died down.

I agree Mark, I hosted my 20+ sites on an old PC at home for 2 years and never had this kind of outage. I think they should remove the strapline form their site "Leader in web hosting" and replace it with JOKERS. The outage started at Thu 10/03/11 22:28 GMT and ended Fri 11/03/2011 05:23 GMT. Titan Internet all the way!
