Default can i connect to mysql server using java from my own computer?
hi there:
can i have access to mysql remotely by using java? is that suported?

Yes. You can do so. If you have your MySQL database hosted on one of our cpanel servers then you will need to login in your cpanel and and your home IP address in MySQL access list from MySQL section of the control panel.

Rest all you should know as you seem to be a Java programmer.
