need opinion on database (Mysql)

Hi,

I own websites in which the database is in Mysql , in one of my other recent site my developer used the excel as per his convenience. I am compare the My Sql and Excel because we use the Excel in front page and use the MySql in Backend. So what is the best option by technically My Sql or the Excel ?

It is always recommended to use MySQL rather than Excel. It is having unbeatable benefits and features like :

High Performance
High Availability
Robust Transactional Support
Web and Data Warehouse Strengths
Strong Data Protection
Comprehensive Application Development
Management Ease

Excel is also good one but outdated and out of market now, less secure and also does not provide Robust Transactional Support.

One best thing about MySQL is it is free of cost and Open Source Freedom and 24 x 7 Support

Indeed, you should go with MySQL for better database management, support and security.
Excel was past and MySQL is present and will be future

Excel can be used as local database for your local network but if you are planning to go live then certainly MySQL should be your option.
