Running a Java server on win 2003 x64?

Hey,

I'm really confused on how to run a java server on a windows server 2003 standard x64 Edition, SP1

a) I installed Java http://java.com/ successfully.
b) From https://sdlc2a.sun.com/ECom/EComActi...3877FF08F809CD
I downloaded Java SE Development Kit 6 Update 5 for Windows x64 Platform
c) Installed fine then after when loading the server, (runserver.bat) it would execute than the box would just remove straight away.

This doesn't happen on my windows XP machine.
I don't understand what I am doing wrong.
