Default PayPal Reversed

Hey, I've been using paypal for a while now. And I've never really had much trouble with them. But, I got an email today "PayPal Notification: Temporary Hold Removed", and I checked on one of my [recent] invoices today and it says 'PayPal Payment' + £20 and then on the 19th it says '‏PayPal Reversed' - £20.

What does this mean?

Thanks.

I got an email saying that the payment has been processed, but I was hoping that someone [who has more experience than me] could explain why they reversed the payment in the first place. I'm quite curious.

Our paypal account was limited for some unjustified reason and paypal had put temporary hold on last 5 days payments. We got this sorted with our account manager in paypal and all payments have been cleared now. Our billing staff members are manually applying all payments once again and this should be completed in next 2 - 3 hours.

You don't need to worry about anything as your invoice will be cleared in next 2 - 3 hours

That is weird, did they actually give you a reason for it? Or was it just a random act?

I received this last thursday of renewing a domain at webhosting.uk.com
Quote:
Dear Karim Ali,

We have completed our investigation of the following transaction and have removed the temporary hold. This temporary hold was removed because we have determined that the transaction was authorised.
Transaction Date: 15 Mar. 2008 09:24:18 GMT
Transaction Amount: 7.00 GBP

Good selling practices, such as trackable shipping, prompt shipment, and communication between buyer and seller help resolve cases of unauthorised use.

Thank you for your patience during this process and for helping to make PayPal a safe and trusted online payment solution.

Our WAN IP changed and they considered this IP change as unauthorized access to our account.

oo I see, I had account limitations before due to third party reasons which means if I connect to my PayPal account elsewhere it's a likely cause that my account will be limited?

You will face problems only if you login and send payments. There's no issue if you login and check payments.

I only logged in, clicked last activity and BOOM, it was limited. I think it's an automatic system of some sort. Silly system but good in a way.

Thanks for the info, ain't taking no risks but nothing will happen if the last 2 digits of the IP change right? When you reset the router off/on the IP will change slightly.
