Default phpbb3

Anyone experience the dreaded login problem with phpbb3?
Anyone know a work around? Works ok with FF not with IE. Worked fine for a few weeks then the problems appear.
Been through all the advice offered on the phpbb forum

I'd same problem with wordpress in firefox, by changing the browser the problem solved, now I can login WP in IE but not firefox. Try to login by changing your browser or once you loging-be stay logged in. This could be temporary solutions for a permanent problem or vice versa.

yeah, the problem is that i don't know how many members it is affecting, but sure it isn't just me.

I have changed the cookie settings again and can now login, but wondering how long this will last! Bit of a worry not knowing if this fix has worked for everyone, and how long it will last.

Can't say I've seen anyone else with login issues like that.
What cookie settings have you got?

Try putting a . at the start

.raynerfamily.org.uk

Then log out, delete the site cookie and log back in.

check the url you are visiting the site on too.
you can get cookie issues from using http://raynerfamily.org.uk instead of http://www.raynerfamily.org.uk

That's what the dot in the cookie does.
It means accept either link.

so far still logged in so fingers crossed.
The forum in question hasn't been used for sometime. I want to send a bulk email to over 60 people who have never visited, or forgot it exists, but need to make sure everythingis fine beforehand.
Will give it a few more days....many thx
