Default How to prevent bots from posting with vBulletin?

I'm running a vBulletin forum and this is the first day the first bot is posting!
It annoyed me alot.....

Coming from this IP:- stopforumspam.com/ipcheck/87.118.116.245
I banned it, and also want to know how to prevent this for the future?

Thanks for your help, if possible.

I don't have direct experience with vB but in phpBB the thing that stopped bots dead in their tracks was adding something non-standard to the registration page. Even adding a box asking the user to type a specific word in was enough. I haven't had a bot sign up in just over a year. I was getting 15-20 a day. banning IPs is pointless and they don't use the same one twice.

The standard visual confirmation stuff is easy to crack these days so by adding something non-standard, which is compulsory, the bots can't read what they have to do so the registration fails.

If you can find a MOD for vB that does something similar you should be ok.
