For a dedicated server, lets say for a dual intel xeon processor 3.2 Ghz / 2MB Cache, 6GB Ram.
How many hosting accounts for an averge of 20GB Webspace and 50GB Bandwidth for one server without the server being overloaded? I know it depends on a lot of things, but approx? Also a value where of course it doesn't cause a detrimental impact on the server iteslf so a good averge server load for a tier - shared hosting environment. |

As per my experience a server with above specification using below 1000 GB bandwidth per month will continue to work without any problems. CPU and memory are extensively used when people get more traffic on their websites. More Traffic means more MySQL, Apache, email & DNS queries which decides load of your server.
One of our server has got 1300 accounts and it has no problems at all and other server with 250 accounts and same specs has average load more than the 1300 account server ![]() Load on the server completely depends on kind of websites you host.
