Default Computer Vision Syndrome

What Is Computer Vision Syndrome?
Today, millions of people all over the world are affected by Computer Vision Syndrome or CVS without them realizing it. I am a full time work at home person who spends more than 10 hours a day on my PC. Although some people claim that there is no scientific evidence that computer screens are harmful to the eyes, experts believe that anyone who stares at a computer monitor for more than two hours a day is likely to experience CVS or Computer Vision Syndrome to some extent. I think I do experience it sometimes. So, if you spend more than 2 hours a day on your computer its time to have a look at your eyes.

Computer Vision Syndrome is the term used to describe a variety of vision related symptoms and CVS affects mental and physical well being and impacts productivity.

I spend 12-14 hours per day on my computer, I am 40 plus now but I've never any vision problem so far. I would suggest the people spending more time on computer should take few short breaks and do eye relaxation exercise in between long working hours. eye-exercises-for-good-vision.com/eye-relaxation-exercises.html

Thanks for references...
While working long hours on computers you should blink your eyes more often this will prevent your eyes getting dry, also as suggested don't stick to your screen, take frequent small breaks and get relaxed AS I DO but do remember to get back to your work.

Eat healthy and be healthy.......

Yep, i spend roughly from 2PM - 5AM GMT on my PC. Around about the same hours as you and i've never had vision problems so far. It's mostly the old monitors and not so much LCD screens anymore.

That's Good to hear, you have good eye-sight Don but i have seen many cases who had nearly lost their vision in early 40's may be due to over stress or due to improper food intake.

I do care for my vision as i have eye sight problem and my younger sister is suffering from a dreadful retinal eye disease named RP.
