Blade server... what it does mean? why it has this name?

A blade server is a server chassis housing multiple thin, modular electronic circuit boards, known as server blades.Every single blade is a server,this is often dedicated to a single application.These servers are capable of offering more processing power in a comparatively less rackspace.This allows more benefit since cabling becomes simpler and there is a major reduction in the power consumption.There estimated to be 85% reduction in the cabling of blade installation compared to the conventional tower servers.The IT administrators have to spend less time in managing the infrastructure and hence the time.

That's right Chilton,
It seems that Blade server would be the future of Datacenters as they save huge amount of space, power consumption, cabling cost and most important the administrative task for server upgrades and it's maintenance.
