Assuming in case you have not recieved notice, avg is not supporting its present version. A new one is now being offered, with spam program, check this press release; grisoft.com/doc/1/lng/us/tpl/tpl01

I would say that they have done a really good job. AVG is just getting better and better.
Nowadays it can clean a lot of viruses and trojans and some which others can't detect.

Yep. I personally trust AVG more than any other Anti Virus Software. Though I dont need a Anti Virus software on my system but I keep AVG active on my system to stay on safer side

Don't you need an antivirus!? What if you connected to your website's FTP and got your password stolen by a keylogger!
