Default McAfee, Norton OR?

Hey,

My McAfree subscription has now expired and I'm ready to purchase a full version anti-virus software, in fact I had no anti-virus for a week and everytime I login to my PC it will show me:

Keep Blocking, Allow or Remind me later
(Firewall)

I keep seeing this message at least 3-4 times a day, different names random.. like ktlawy... dkajfa

So, before I purchase this what software is best? Never mind the price, it's just I want a good one, if not McAfee or Norton suggest alternatives.

Thanks

oo sorry, move this thread to "Internet Security" please.

I will suggest you to get AVG Anti-Vir Pro
May be following link will help you : anti-virus-software-review.toptenreviews.com/ to choose one.

AVG free and a separate firewall...maybe Zone Alarm or Sygate, or Kerio.

I use McAfee but only because it was free (for one year) from Natwest - seems to work fine - anything that is free has to be good if it's not bad [profound or what ]
