yes but setting up domainkeys on a domain will convince yahoo that it is genuine mail won't it! I thought that is what it was all for?

Anyway, any chance you can let me see the headers from the mail that got through so i can check it with my header info?

one reason I managed to figure out that our domain points to different server and MX records point to different server.

thats the only reason I could see with multiple tests I've done using different domains and yahoo accounts. is your domain pointing to same server as that of the mail server ?

try one more thing. add your email address in address book of yahoo. I did the same by adding sales[at]webhosting.uk.com in Yahoo address book and now emails seem to go in inbox of other Yahoo accounts as well.

I don't have a Yahoo email account but even if I did not sure that would cure the problem, am not convinced with your 'fix' above.

Bottom line is we need to know why mail is considered bulk! So we can convince them it isn't.

We had the same problem with Hotmail a while ago and trying to find out why was like trying to get blood out of a stone. I know it's of no use to you mate but eventually our problem just seemed to disappear.

I am hoping the same with Yahoo. I never got a reply from Yahoo support so their 'reply within 24 hours is bull'
I expected the same problem with hotmail but my mail is getting through, problem is that over 30 of the peeps i want to email have yahoo or BT accounts.

Oh well, life is too short to waste anymore time on this. I surrender to the fact that I am beat...........
No wait.................ding ding round 2

I think the solution was quite simple.

You just need to have one Yahoo account and follow stesp given in :-

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai.../abuse-36.html

This has sorted our problem so it should solve yours as well. Seems like one of our customers had had marked one of our ticket notifications as "Not Spam" so our tickets were going in inbox while the welcome emails were not.

i opened a yahoo account, added email to contacts and mail now goes to inbox. But this STILL DOESNT SOLVE THE PROBLEM with BT. Maybe it has worked with other Yahoo emails (don't know anyone else with just a Yahoo account) but it hasn't worked for BT Yahoo

send one to supp0rt_test@yahoo.com through your script and let me know. I'll verify if it has got sorted or not.

We have no problem in sending sendmail based emails to customers on BT. not sure what needs to be done in your case as we've never had problems in sending emails to customers with BT email addressess.

I don't understand that as BT uses yahoo as far as mail goes. I think you may need to recheck that they are indeed getting through.

Thank you for the test email. I will send now. I will also be testing the phpmail rather than smtp since that is the address that I added to contacts.
thx

WOW that is great ADMIN! I sent html as well! It also reached hotmail inbox as well as I wanted to test both.

I changed from smtp and am just waiting to hear if the BT account received it in the inbox also..........i hope so.

Many thanks Admin really appreciate all your efforts, and at least i know that the Yahoo problem is sorted AND my header info is correct.
