Yes, one should help each other in the best possible manner. However, the help which involves some hard work is much appreciated (I don't mean this did not involve hard work, it's just a thought)

There is a competition, the one that offers free hosting for 50 quality posts. Still, I'm sure the administrators will taking originality into account when determining whether a post qualifies as 'quality'.

Thank you Black Dog!
Oh, I forgot about the competition here. Thank you to remind. Well James has already answered and now I think Imabhas shall write 5 posts of his own.

Searching for the information also needs efforts. Getting correct link with quality content is not an easy task except those for whom Google is a chocolate or a nut .

Yes, but if you find correct link which has quality content then it does not mean that you should copy the content and post it. You should add something from your side or you should make sure that you post the link so that the Credit of the post should be given to the one who has actually made it. Just an opinion.

Thats right, if one intends to share any information here with forum mates, a URL can be given, instead of copying the entire content and pasting it in the forums. This may harm the ranking of the forum due to duplicate content. Else, one can edit the information (atleast 60% of original content) and then post it into the forum.
I can understand the good intention of knowledge sharing, but we cannot forget the harm that we might cause to the forum.

Yes, you are right! we shall not do any such thing that might cause harm to the forum. Well, I think even more external links can affect the performance or ranking of the forum. Correct me, if I am wrong....

Yes, External links may affect the rankings of the Forum but WHUK does allow External links if the link is useful for distributing Knowledge. However, the best option is to make some changes in the content and add something from your side and post it into the Forum as changing the content and adding something from your side will help you to get some more Knowledge about the topic. Also, if the content is well edited and posted, you will definitely get an appreciation from the Forum members which will help you to gain some more confidence

If you rewrite an article in your own words then its definitely going to be considered as a unique post. We need such unique posts from the forum members as it would improve the forum quality as well as attract new visitors.

Yes, unique articles do fairly well for rankings. I use some of these SEO techniques for some quick google rank.

Many people decide to spam forums, mainly on their part it is a waste of time as active moderators patrolling forums act swiftly and efficiently on malicious and constant spamming posts.
People think forums are here so they can sell products on; infact they're here for the complete opposite

Usually immature people spam in forums. These people can be of any age group with very less knowledge of the product and the target audience.

That's very true James According to a research " Spam wastes even more electricity than leaving your computer running 24/7, costing roughly $3 billion a year in wasted power alone "
Well, Congrats for crossing 1000 post count.....
Cheers !!!
