MS SQL Connection

Hi All,

Is there an idiot's guide/tutorial for setting up and accessing an MS SQL database specifically on WHUK/Plesk?

I've been trying all sorts of Connection String settings, Security options to no avail. (eg do I have to upload an aspnetdb.mdf even if I'm not using it for Access/Roles on a very simple website?).



There's very little other MS SQL related posts in the forum so I feel a bit silly asking!!

Never wanting to be beaten... finally worked it out where I was going wrong.

Just in case any one else has the same problems (doubt if any of you are as thick as me though!)

for the Data Source I substituted localhost for .\SQLEXPRESS and and added User Id and password.

So my ConnectionString looks like this:

CS= "Data Source=localhost;Initial Catalog=database name;User ID=userid for database user;Password=password for database user"
