Subdomains, Parked domains & Addon domains
Sub-domains:-
A subdomain is a subdivision of a larger domain. It is just like a completely seperate domain name in itself. These are used for having independent sections within a large website. For instance, lets say you have a domain name .test.com. Then a subdomain would be new.test.com. A very common example is Google . . . google.com is the main domain, mail.google.com is a sub-domain.
Parked domains:-
If you have multiple websites & want all of them to point to one single domain name, then you are "parking" the domain name. For instance, if you have test.com, test.biz, test.co.uk, test.us et.al. But you want all these to be pointing to test.com, so in this case you are "parking" them to your main / primary website.
Add-on domains:-
A lot many times you have a lot of resources left on your hosting account & you would like to use to host more than 1 domain within the same hosting plan. Add-on domain is a feature which allows you to do this. The secondary domain name (second domain) which you would host with the same hosting plan is called "add-on domain". The number of such add-on domains which you can host depends upon the hosting service provider's packages. All these domains would function independent of each other.
Addon domains allow you to manage all your domains from within the same control panel.
