Actually I'm heading back that way again this weekend - virtually of course. It's either that or sit at home upgrading my PC. I'd like to do the latter but Mrs Kev occasionally insists that I venture out into the daylight.

Actually the last summer hol was Marakesh, where the safest place to eat (even at our 5*) was MacD

The UK has some fantastic coastal resorts no matter what age, some great inland locales also, cotswolds springs to mind. But if we are talking continental then imo Prague is the place to be.

No I'm not over 45 - I am a Teenager again thanks to admin !!

I had so many disastrous holidays abroad (bad food, bad hotels, bad tour operators etc. etc.) that I vowed never to step off the UK again. However I have been to the Isle of Wight and would dearly love to go back to Jersey again - It's where we had our honeymoon 19 years ago. I don't even have a passport any more.

You would enjoy living where I live Cassie, just outside Weymouth. Catamaran to Jersey, return £29
Southampton only hour and half away but never been to IOW, not sure why though everyone says it is great there. .

After another great weekend in West Wales we are seriously considering buying a caravan down there. Stayed at Tresaith for the weekend and did some boating Saturday and then on Sunday went up to Aberystwyth and Devils Bridge.

Stunning scenery and great for the kids.

I never ventured that far down Kev when I lived in Wales, wish I had, but what I saw of the west coast and north wales especially the peninsula was stunning, not to mention Snowdonia and the areas around Festiniog

We went horse riding in north Wales once - never again - horse riding not Wales - the only good thing about being on a horse was the stunning views.

Yeah I don't do horses either. My daughter loves them and I can see the look of scorn and contempt on her face when I decline yet another wonderful pony-trekking opportunity.
