Java version 6 is available now, you can download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 and upgrade the earlier version as the older versions might be vulnerable now.

Paul, you know Java 6 had taken nearly 2 years for it’s development. Sun has worked with over 160 companies to ensure backwards compatibility, stability and optimum performance of this new version.
Java 6 has many good new features included which will help for building xml based web services, it has added new additional security features and many more…..

I just wish that Sun would sort out their version numbering - perhaps it's just me but the amount of versions, naming and numbering conventions in Java is a bloody mess.
