Default Romantic domain names

I ever read an article about romantic ways to celebrate your girlfriend's birthday. So, you register her name as a domain name (with .com; there is no .rom TLD ), then you create a romantic web page with poems, flowers, etc. On her birthday, you would casually ask her if her name has been registered or not, then you ask her to check it.

While it's romantic, do you think name your website after someone's name will be profitable?

Superb ideal... Surely your GF would be glad to see your creativity, affection & LOVE. There's no harm in using real names for the website, many webmaster use their real names for their online presence.

Brandon, currently we are offering a FREE Domain name on new orders ( Shared/Reseller packages ) as a Welcome Gift which you can use to IMPRESS your Sweet Heart

Good Luck Brandon

It's a wonderful idea to impress a Girl Friend on her Birthday .....
you can book a domain name on her name and present it as a surprise gift.

Good luck finding a persons name that hasn't already been snapped up by domain squatters.

Well, if the name has been snapped up by domain squatters, you can make some changes to the domain name and register it. Adding, removing or arranging some letters in the domain will increase the chances of domain availability

That's great Harry, thanks for the information. Surely I would consider it when I need a hosting service. Do I not need to pay the annual fee of the domain forever or it's only for the first year?

Then it's not the persons name is it.
No point having your loved one called Sally Jackson if you're going to register SalyJaksun.com cos that's all you can get.

True. I love this idea also. I don't know if you can monetize the website for the domain, it depends on many factors. But surely it would be good for your relationship.

You got a good point there. Changing the domain extension would be the best thing to do. Another way to have the name available is to add suffix or prefix to the domain name. Something like MySallyJackson.com or SallyJacksonIsCute.com (who is Sally anyway?)

You don't know Sally? How could you say she is cute if you don't know her? She is not cute, she is very beautiful like an angel (any Sally here?).

Anyway, I wouldn't feel confident to use .net TLD for my domain if another registrant had registered the .com version of the domain.

Well, I actually meant adding, removing or arranging 1 or a couple of letters only (though very difficult but possible )

Anyways, good example.
