I believe Godaddy also sent an email regarding the increase in price of the domain names and asked its customers to renew their domain names by June 30

Yeah, they sent such an email to me, inviting me to take advantage of the information and renew one of my domain which is being expired in September. It's a bit funny because the domain is a .info domain, and I wouldn't renew it anyway.

Yeah they asked their customers to renew the domain for multiple years to to avoid this price increase. But 7% increase may not seem like a lot of money to most of their customers

I guess so. Do you think not so many of their customers taking advantage of the offer? I myself never get disturbed with domain price increase, except at the renewal time.

The renewal offer for domain's has already expired on 30th June. And I'm sure, most of the client's have got their domains renewed for more than two year's

As someone said, 7% is not that big amount of money. It will be big for the company who is selling it. I just hope that they will not increase the price ever year.

Usually, registry never increases the price every year. So, expect that price remain's the same for next five years.
