Simple subdomain question

Sorry if I posted in the wrong section.....

Just another newbie question about subdomains this time

On my VPS account, if I want to set up a subdomain eg forum.mysite.com do I do this from the specific domain's cPanal or from my main VPS cPanal?

You can setup subdomain from the cPanel of particular domain on your VPS. Also it can be setup from WHM. You will have to access WHM of VPS and then access the specific domain's cPanel from it
