eNom
When i moved to WHUK i asked for my domain to be transferred over to WHUK, since upgrading to a dedicated server the name servers with the registrar need updating as i am getting email problems that say "invalid sender domain" when sending some email from the exim mail queue.
Support said it is because "You are still using remote nameservers for the domain...." and told me to update the nameservers with the registrar.
I don't have an account with eNom, so who exactly should be updating the records.

Hello Andrew,
Our billing department have updated the DNS for required domain name. It should not take more then 5-6 hours to get DNS propagated worldwide.
We have also replied your ticket "ABY-16078-259"

Good evening,
I find this question quite significant.
I have a VPS here and after a period of time it was moved to another physical server with a different IP address. This triggered a number of communications between me and WHUK support, where support was saying that I needed to update the name servers and I was wondering what support were on about, as I had never heard of enom nor had any details such as login and password.
Actually I was never told that I needed to update name servers at enom, I was told that I needed to update the name servers, I only worked out that they were at enom by looking up the registration for my domain name.
After some "toing and fraying" with on line support I did get details of the enom account that allowed me to update the name servers and all worked fine.
It does seem likely that you have a hole in your procedures here, you appear to set up accounts at enom, sometimes expect your customers to update these accounts, but you never tell your customers about them.
bye
Ian

Hi Ian,
If you manage to have a closer look at your client area then you will see that you already have an option for updating WHOIS info along with Name Servers. ( Provided domains are registered with Webhosting UK )
Follow the steps mention below :-
1. Login to Client's Area
2. Click on “My Domains” >> next to price Click on Arrow mark.
Now you will see the option for updating Nameserver you can update them as per your requirements and save them... that's all, you have successfully updated nameservers for required domains from your client area

I also have an issue with the domain transfer procedure. I have now transferred a number of domains to WHUK, not all of which have websites or email that are hosted here. The transfer system seems to set all contact details and nameservers to a default value when they are transferred in - despite asking me to type in my preferred values when I initiate the transfer.
I have raised tickets about this several times, because on some occasions this has broken the website and/or the email. I know that I can amend the information, but I can only do that after the transfer is complete - by which time the systems may have been broken for some time.
I'm also sick and tired of typing in the contact details of my customers when I start the transfer, only to have to do it all again once the transfer has completed. The Billing department tell me that WHMCS is set to global default values, but nobody can tell me why!
In my previous day job as hostmaster to various organisations, I have transferred hundreds of domains between registrars and used many transfer systems. Always, the contact information and the nameserver information has been preserved during the transfer, but not with WHUK.
I've got a number more domains still to transfer and I do wish this would be sorted out.

Thanks Harry, I've been contacted and they're trying to transfer a domain on my behalf so that they can see the issues from a user's point of view.
