Default Some help if you dont mind..

I have been lazy, I admit it. I registered a few domains long ago with 123-reg, and possibly host europe prior to that.

I have one of those domains hosted here, the rest are typically email domains and simply with email forwards.

The domain I have here is nostrebor.eu, I registered some 3-4 years ago. now the story:

Around the 25th of April I got an email (from Host Europe) stating that one of my domains was up for renewal (the one listed above), the email stated that if I had registered it with 123-reg then I should go there check out the renew domains options and renew it..This I duly did but only one domain was remotely close, June 2009 and that wasnt this one. Nothing shown in the renew section for this domain.

I ignored the email, 5 days later the domain disappears off the face of the planet, still nothing in the 123-reg renewal section:

Domain Registered Date Renewal Date Renew Status
nostrebor.eu 2006-04-07 2010-04-06 AutoRenew

Here is an except from the email.
---------------------------
Dear Customer,

Please find below an email from OpenSRS (the registrar for your domain name) containing a list of domains which have been registered through Host Europe and are due for renewal.

If you have registered these domain names through 123-reg please login to your 123-reg members control panel at the following web address:

123-reg.co.uk

To renew these domains, simply choose the "Renew Domains" option from your 123-reg control panel.

Domain Name, Expiry Date
nostrebor.eu, 2009-04-30
----------------------------------

Thats the gist of it, a few bits cut for brevity.

I have a support ticket open with 123-reg...."lol" I hear you shout

Now, joking aside, is there anything I can do quickly to remove the domain from 123-reg? could I push this to EURid.eu or such such group to slap 123-reg around and have it moved elsewhere? Or perhaps a formal complaint at EU level just to pee them off?.

The domain is listed as being in quarantine, so I doubt I could do much more than wait out the 40 days and register it elsewhere?

I'm kinda looking for some remedial action I could take, I'm losing email but fortunately I dont have all my email in one basket.

thanks

If they don't respond contact EURid or ICANN, which ever is applicable.

Thanks I'll do that.

Also I've sent a snot'o'gram to Host Europe, I know its the same company but it made me feel better.

for info I've just confirmed that payment was made for this domain in January, two domains were renewed, the other was fine. I can only assume that 123-reg has not actually paid the European registry for my .eu domain.

They appear to think they have going by the renewal panel but not according to the registry and the fact it has been quarantined.

Assuming this gets sorted with me having an brain hemorrhage, who would I move the domains to?

I have 2 x .eu domains, a .net and a .be domain.

I know a while back Web Hosting UK wasn't able to handle the .eu (and possibly the .be) domains has that changed?

Pretty sure something like this happened to another registrar.
They failed to pay registery fees resulting in customer loosing domains like .eu.
Forgot what registrar that was.
