Free .name domain??

You can get a .name domain name extention for free, on a trial basis. You can try it free for 90 days. When I first saw this, I said to myself, why would any want a domain name for just 90 days?? After 90 days you can pay for it, if you like it.

What do you guys think? Is this a good service? I think it would be better if they gave you the domain name for a whole year, or for even six months, so that you can have enough time to test the domain, build a website and see how people respond to your domain and see if people like your domain. Then after all that you could decide if you were going to keep it, or is it just a good marketing strategy, what do you guys think?

The domain name hardly cost $7 to $8 per year, I think it's good to buy the domain name from any reliable registrar or web hosting provider rather than using such free services since after the end of trial period or renewal time, they can rip you.
