Which tld is best for a commercial site .net.uk or .co.uk?

I would go for .co.uk as more people are familiar with this, and it's used more from my point of view

IMHO it will not make much difference if you opt for .net.uk or .co.uk rather it important to make domain/business much popular so ppl will remember it by heart

Well but on my personal view it make somewhat difference from user perspective between (.net.uk) network administration & (.co.uk) commercial/general, like for a divergence example- for pizza/fast food delivery the search is highly geolocated and people should go for local country specific tld.

Id factor in whether your business has an off line presence, or whether a different tld to a .co.uk would enhance the overall image of the company, and even then Id buy the .co.uk anyway and redirect.

Not currently any offline business, but I thought to go from online to offline.
