Me too.. But I am not into those extensions. I only like .com and .net
Well... .com is the best always.

Yeah, ".com is the best always" but today it's difficult to get a required .com so you will have to compromise with .net or something like that

I agree with that.
Unless your gonna change your website name. Normally for me putting a dash in my website name gets me a domain like for example: (web-hostinguk.com) or using other punctuation does it as well. But dashes have always been the best, and the website name still looks professional and not nooby and tacky.
But .com has always been the best. It's has the highest hits normally.
Others like .net .org and .co.uk are up there with it, but .com will always be the highest.

what both of you said is right, but .net price is getting the same level with .com nowadays.

Nice list but .tv is missing there, .tv is the top-level domain (ccTLD) for the island nation of Tuvalu, mostly used for "on demand media". I foresee its good future.

Well I bet the islanders of Tuvalu are pretty pissed at having to pay so much for their ext.
Anyone know why these extentions are so expensive? I mean is there more work involved (as in admin) to get one of these registered as opposed to say a co.uk ext?? Seems like a ripoff to me

Because it is re-branded as "television" it is like your own TV channel/rich media and you can use ME.TV Toolkit- a channel builder as a bonus.
