Default Slow DNS change

I've recently changed the DNS settings on a name to ns1.redbackinternet.co.uk and ns2.redbackinternet.co.uk but it's been three days now and the names are still not pointing to the right account. I can't remember it taking this long before so does anyone else have any clue as to what might be causing a problem?

You will need to provide domain name to your host. Or contact them on their toll-free number, they will sort it out for you, in a quickly manner.

Another reason might be that the nameservers are still pointing to old host. You need to contact your registrant and update them that the nameserver have not been changed. As soon as they change it to the new nameservers the changes will come into effect within next 24 hours.

Thanks.

I've changed the nameservers with the company that handled the registration and my host is webhosting.uk.com.

Hello Kevin,

Please let me know the domain name over here or PM me with your domain name. I will look into it.

I dont see anything wrong with your existing 2 domains so I cannot make out which is the other domain.

I just check the DNS Report for your domain. The nameservers are pointing towards ns1.redbackinternet.co.uk and ns2.redbackinternet.co.uk but SOA records failed which means you have not added the domain in your reseller account.

Hello Kevin,

Your Reseller Account is hosted on 64.62.157.184 but you are using nameservers of tristar.webhosting.uk.com. I will setup private nameservers for you if you can provide me with a domain name on which you will need the nameservers.

Your newly added domain was not rresolving as we forwarded A records of your websites from tristar.webhosting.uk.com to 64.62.157.184 so newly added domains could not work with the nameservers.

Having your private nameservers is much better and today we are moving 64.62.157.184 to another server with IP 64.38.57.50 so that will change IP address of your websites.

There wont be any data loss or problems for your websites due to this IP change.

Thanks for the reply Admin - not sure I understood most of it but domain name resolution isn't exactly my strong point

Is it just the one domain name you need or do you need the names of all the domains on my reseller account?
