Free Domain name

I have my site for free projects(software).. that means the site is of free scriptys... i am hosting it at other subdomain..
but now i need free domain .com for it.. i am ready for advertising on everypage of yours.. plz help...

Well, even though you have mentioned no forum posting for domain, I guess that's the most easiest way to get a domain if you don't wish to pay for it.

There is a free domain contest running on this forum where after making 30 posts you are eligible for the free domain. It would hardly take much time to make 30 good posts if you are an experienced webmaster.

I think you should go with Ryan's suggestion. It will be not that difficult to get a fee domain. If you post 10 per day then within 3 days you will get a free domain.

And it is not going to stop there, if you wish you can go further. It's not a bad idea. What do you think?

This might help, just found it. NO POSTING REQUIRED. There is only one catch..... the domain doesn't belong to YOU, it is a redirect to the free hosting they offer.

eagletoe, welcome to this forum, IMO, For serious business use, you should have your own TLD name, if you get it free from a free host as you mentioned there, the ownership of the free domain name remains with them that means you shall loss control on your own domain name. Both domain name & hosting does not cost much, it is always good to have your ownership domain name and preferebly look for a paid host providers.

OMG! That's just weird really. but the thought that people get curious with it, they click it.. or some people would want to know if its for real or not so they visit it. it probably got famous that way!
