Personally I think majority of the domain appraisal services are just waste of money and time. Domains are worth what people are willing to pay for them, not what people who have no interest in buying domains have to say about them.
There are automated computer scripts online that give you a free instant evaluation of your domain name when you put in certain required details about your name. But those just give you a ballpark figure and sometimes even grossly inflate the value. |

Domain appraisals are something that one cannot rely on. The information you get from it is not as accurate as it should be. Appraisals are not at all necessary for Premium domains. Every buyer and seller knows the worth of the domain. I totally agree with Peter that appraisals are nothing but way to earn easy money by those who provide such services.

I think domain appraisal is necessary for a premium domain to find a buyer, but it is important to check the credibility of the appraisal source.

I do agree about not to go after automated appraisals. What Paul says it is also true that in sales process domain name appraisals plays an important role. It is kind of an evaluation of a property. Just for you to know what is the value of your Domain Name.
And if you want to donate domain to charity or use of tax donations, then also Domain Name Appraisals are recommended. ![]() |
