Google recently filed United States Patent Application 20050071741. As part of that patent application, Google made apparent its efforts to wipe out search engine spam, stating:

I tried to check that link but it is not loading, however by keeping a longer domain name certainly you are going to add keyword there, I dont think it is going to impact for good ranking as the words on the page their frequency and the position on the pages are more important than the keyword in your domain.

i've read the article. i don't know if its true or not or u have more search results cause u added more pages but i can't do that right now. i can't register my domains for a longer preiod since i have no money right now. but nice article anyway. i loved it. hmm if there were reputation points i'll add them. nice job.

Not sure whether buying a domain for several years helps, but having the domain for several years does help. The age of a domain gives the appearance of longevity and therefore may give the site a higher relevancy score in SEs.
