which country extention do you think is the most popular?

Which country extention do you think is most popular? How many domain name have been registered with this extention? Why do you think it is favorite among all other country extention?

I'm not sure which is the most popular and I'm definately not that familiar with country extention either.

IMO there is no such country specific domain extension which is most popular....
usually cctld are used if we want to get benefit of SEO and traffic, i mean if you are targeting UK traffic you would go for .uk.com rather than .mx or .fr
People from UK will like to have sites with .uk.com

You can have a list of all cctld at "www.iana.org/root-whois/index.html"

And so on .eu, .us but .co.uk/uk.com is more popular coz any one can acquire it no country restriction like .eu and .us.

Sedo have just published an article suggesting that .co.uk is very popular. Over here .uk.com is less well known.

Is it better to have co.uk domain for SEO Do popularity of domain extension matters ? i mean do these domains are easily picked up by SE's

Not sure about SEO - thats not really my thing (on occasion I have even been know to be quite negative about it ) - as far as people recognising and remebering your domain name goes then I think .co.uk is better. Lots of companies user .co.uk but it is quite rare to see .uk.com.
