.tv very expensive domain

I've heard that this is a very expensive domain, if this is so, why is it so expensive?

You know what I think? I think any and all TV shows should be forced to have .tv domains, so that they can leave free the .com domains. Actually, this makes me wonder... does anyone know of any TV show that has its own .tv domain name?

To be quite honest I don't know about any website that has a .tv domain, let alone a tv show having a .tv domain.

.tv was never intended to be used by TV companies or programs - it is the tld for the dinky little nation of Tuvalu who lucked out when their name got abbreviated.
