Default Best Domain Name Registrar?

Who do you recommend to register domain names with?

i.e. reliable, well-priced, quick and easy?

For someone like me that ids new to registering domains it's all very confusing. There is nowhere that I have found that rates the registrars. Personally I was looking at easily.co.uk or freeparking but have read on both dooyoo and ciao good and bad things about both. I'm glad I found this place - who do you "professionals" use?

Thanks.

Godaddy and Enom are best registrars as per my knowledge. We use enom for domain registration service and the automation available with enom is not there with any other registrar.

Many big companies use enom for domain registration service and we are also happy customers of enom. We are trying to get ICANN accreditation but it wont be easy to implement interface like enom.

Any thought on 123-reg?
I use them all the time. They are not the cheapest but i like the easy option of transferring domains to customers via a simple email.
Is that possible with the 2 you mentioned Admin? I have heard good reports about Godaddy but never used them

123-reg is good as long as you don't need support. Some of our customers have faced major problem with DNS settings and they never got replies to their emails for almost 1 week.

Enom and godaddy are better as you can call them to get your problem sorted in case of emergency.

eNom have a reputation now for poor service that IMO limit your options.

Enom is good for domain registrations. If you purchase hosting package from them then you will have problems.

If you know how to utilize their automation then they are good but if you need support all the time then its not worth.

UKReg have been good for me so far, it's easy to alter the things like forwarding email, nameservers, etc. Having said that I don't have a point of reference as I haven't used anyone else yet.

If you want to keep the hosting and registrar separate then

I would say GoDaddy and eNom are the best as registrar and worst as the host providers.

It's always advisable to have your domain register separately prior to hosting.

I suggest you use godaddy as they have been aroung for a long time and there service is good. You can also try networksolutions they provide fast service and they have a great customer service.

I agree with you about godaddy, my view is same, but I have no knowledge about the second one.
