Compared to the other keyword rich domains, Vodaka.com was sold for a very small price. Diamond.com was sold for $7.5 which was quite profitable compared to Vodaka.

Just wondering how one can pay this much for a domain. And what about s* dot com, it was sold for $12 million. I think this competetion will increase more in next couple of years to buy a keyword rich domain.

If you have surplus money and are ready to pay any price then I don't think there will be much competition left.
Yes but you never know for what reasons people may start competing against each other.

Not a bad idea to start a business like this. Acquiring keyword rich domains (if not easily available wait for the one to expire and grab it) and sell them for higher price. In fact, I have read that many people have already started this and gaining lot out of it.

If Vodaka is registered trade name of any company in your country and you block the domain name then you can get sued and put behind bars for following such unethical business practice.

Vodaka company may not pay even a single penny to get their domain name from you. They will challege your ownership legally and the results would be declared by court within few days to set "Certified Criminal" tag on you.

Yeah. but it will incase of microsoft.co.uk, microsoft.uk.com, intel.co.uk, intel.uk.net or anything else thats under such big names.

Vodka is name of liquor so it cannot be copyright of any company but Smirnoff is a copyright.
