Yea but I fear if I am going to contact him directly he may demand excess amount to sell it out.

True - you could always try and if they ask too much start haggling. If you're not absolutely desperate for the domain what have you got to lose?

Yep, I have just sent an email to him today and awaiting for his response, if he ask unreasonable price I would prefer to buy another domain name from a registrar.

Do you think that you will get that domain ?

I am sorry but I don't think Kev's good wishes will help. Most of the times people demand more than $200 to release a domain name no matter if the domain name has 64 characters in it.

You are right, demand increases the price, though I am not dependent on that specific domain name, it was just a test mail to him.

Then I think Paul you shouldn’t worry much about it as you can always get a better one elsewhere if you look around and to not completely loose your hold on this one you can be in touch with the domain name owner but don’t show much 'importance' as the owner may think that you are really in need of it which will affect the price.

That's a good tact to give a try to get the preferred domain name. Nothing to lose. You never know, you might get the desired one in the desired price.
